Tuesday, August 12th for all FPS students and staff.

The parking lot is looking amazing! Unfortunately, we will not be able to utilize the area for driving for the first week of school. Please plan accordingly for these changes in dropping off and picking up your children. The pick-up and drop-off zone will be along 12th Avenue, going north or south. A crossing guard and available support staff will be working to get students from that area to and from school. The main parking lot will be reserved for staff parking and for those who need to access the office during the school day. Students do not need to arrive at school before 7:30 am. Staff report at 7:30 am to begin the day. NOTE: Parking for students, parents, community, and alumni will be in the back of the school, and entry will be open at the activities entrance for Monday, August 11th, for the "Back to School Bash". Thank you for your patience and understanding as we are so excited to have our students back in the building!

The staff at FPS are preparing for the new year. We are working together to create a positive and fun place to learn and work. We can't wait to see all of our students next week! Always a great day to be a Flyer!

Reminder Middle School Orientation will be Thursday, August 7th at the school. 6th grade orientation at 6:00pm. 7th grade orientation will begin at 6:45pm. Please contact the school if you have any questions.

The Franklin Jr. Flyer Wrestling program will be hosting a camp on Saturday, September 6th. Camp will be lead by special guest Nick James, a 4x University of Nebraska Kearney All-American and 2x National Runner-up. Registration for camp is now open! Substitute Teachers and Paras needed at Franklin Public School. If interested there will be a meeting on Monday, August 4th, 1:00pm at the school. Come join a great team!

This will be the last week of summer weights. Official Fall Sports practice will begin on Monday, August 11th. All physicals must be turned in to the high school office prior to beginning practice.

The weight room will be closed from Monday July 21st-Friday July 25th for summer moratorium. There will be no weights for high school athletes next week. The weight room is still open and available for public use during this time.

The west side of the front parking lot for FPS will be under construction until further notice. Please use the east entrance if you are coming into the offices and the back parking lot to access the weight room. Thank you!

The Flyer Alumni Golf Tournament is this Saturday, July 19th! Proceeds go to Flyer Athletics! One alumni is required to play, get your teams signed up and support the Flyers!

Congratulations to J Choquette for placing 5th in the 100m dash, 3rd in 200m dash, and 2nd in long jump at the Cornhusker State Games! Way to go J!
