All doors at Franklin Public Schools will be locked and will remain locked throughout the school day. Our policy is for all visitors, parents or guardians, and students that arrive late to go to the main doors, push the notification button to alert the offices you are here. You will then be asked your name before the doors will be unlocked. EVERYONE that is not a student or staff member will need to get a Visitor Pass or wait for your child(ren) in the high school office. Reminder please join us tonight - Tuesday, August 9th - for our 2022 FPS Back to School Bash. 5:30pm - 6:00pm: Classroom meet and greet. 6:00pm - 6:15pm: Assembly in gym for all parents and students. 6:15pm - 6:30pm: Elementary parent meeting in the gym. 6:30pm - 6:45pm: Secondary student laptop check out. Students need to have a parent or legal guardian present to sign the technology use form before they are allowed to check out their laptop. 6:45-7:30pm: Burger Bash in the back parking lot. The Flyer Football Team will kick off their 2022 season with a midnight practice on Sunday (8/07) - Monday (8/08). Therefore we would like to let the community know the lights will be on at the Flyer football field. Good Luck Flyers!
School Picture Day by H2o Photography: School Pictures will be Wednesday, September 14th. Online shopping is open if you would like to see what is available. FAST Back to School Bash
SCHOOL PHYSICALS - Nebraska Law requires a complete physical examination prior to entrance into kindergarten, a new school (6th grade, 7th grade and 9th grade), any JH or HS student that participates in a NSAA activity or sport, and for all students that transfer to a Nebraska Public School from another state. Please have these physicals complete by the first day of HS practices on August 8th or the first day of school on August 11th.
Reminder: Students in grades 7-12 who are going out for a Fall Sport need to have a physical turned in before you are eligible to practice. High School Fall Sports practices officially begin Monday, August 8th. You will not be able to practice without a 2022-2023 physical on file.
Franklin Public Schools office will be open regular hours, 8:00am - 4:00pm, starting Monday, August 1st. Please contact the office at 308-425-6283, ext. 10 if you are new to town and need to get your child(ren) registered for classes. School starts Thursday, August 11th.
Reminder all community key fobs will be shut off on Monday, August 1st unless you have already renewed it. Please stop by the high school office to renew your fob. Due to safety concerns key fobs will no longer be issued to walk or use the alternate gym. Please call the high school office if you have any questions. Thank you.
High school fall sports practices start on Monday, August 8th. Anyone going out for a Junior High or High School NSAA Activity will need to have a current school physical on file. Students can not participate in JH or HS practices until their physical is turned in. Also, all students coming into a Nebraska school from another state and or students that are in grades K, 6, 7, and 9th will need a school physical before the first day of school on Thursday, August 11th. Parents, don't forget to preserve your student's memories by purchasing their yearbook for $60. The yearbook is definitely not just for seniors! We have fewer than 10 copies left. If you have already purchased a book, they will be available for pick up at the Back to School Bash on Tuesday, August 9th, at 5:30 pm.
There's still time to enter. The Flyer Golf Team is hosting a Fundraiser Golf Tournament next Saturday, July 16th starting at 10:00 am. It will be a 4 person scramble and Florida scramble. Men will tee off from the white tees both nines and women the red's. Men 65 and older will also tee off from the red's.
Cash payouts, flag prizes, and a free meal are all part of the fun. If interested contact Mr. Boettcher today at 308-470-1261. Would like to have at least 12 teams and currently have 6 at this time. So if your available, please considering entering your team today.
Reminder for everyone that has a fob for the Weight Room, it will need to be renewed August 1st at the $50 rate for the year. Your current fob will be shut off as of August 1st until it is renewed.
New for the 2022-2023 school year, we will no longer be allowing access by patrons to the Alternate Gym. This for the safety and security of our students and staff. Weight room access will remain the same. Youth coaches will need to meet with Mr. Boettcher to get permission for practices and games. Contact the school if you have any questions
