Due to supply issues, and in hopes of preventing the spread of illnesses, Franklin Public School Administrators and School Board have decided to remove the daily lunch salad bar option until we return from Holiday Break on Thursday, January 5th. Students and Staff will still have alternate choices such as a daily sandwich choice or a pre-made chef salad that will be served out of the kitchen window. All meals served will meet state guidelines, including at least 3 of the 5 basic food groups with 1 of those being a fruit or vegetable. Students will have to take what they are served to meet the state requirements of a reimbursable meal but they do not have to eat everything that is on their tray. We are sorry for any inconvenience this will cause but feel this is a step we need to make. If you have any questions please contact the high school office at 308-425-6283.
