February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. This is a national effort to raise awareness about teen dating violence and promote healthy relationships. Franklin's NHS and FCCLA chapters are selling T-Shirts to help raise awareness. Wear your new shirt or any orange to the Franklin vs. Elba game on February 8, 2024. T-shirt order forms are available in the high school office or the school library. Orders are due by Thursday, January 25th.

Schedule Changes due to the anticipated weather forecast for Thursday, 1/11:
- JHBB @ Silver Lake will be A Team only and will now start at 2:30pm.
- GB @ Red Cloud this is girls only, games have been moved up to JV at 4:30pm followed by the girls varsity game.
Menu Change for Lunch on Wednesday 1/10: Walking Tacos and full salad bar, Ala Carte - Chef Salad, Option - Uncrustable Sandwich.
Due to road conditions in certain parts of our district, Franklin Public Schools will have a 10 AM late start tomorrow, Wednesday, January 10th. Buses will run accordingly and there will be no AM Preschool.
Due to current weather and road conditions, Franklin Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 9. There will be no practices or activities and we will be looking to reschedule the basketball games.

If your child is missing a sweatshirt, T-shirt, or shorts, please have them check the lost and found table by the high school office. These items will be donated to Goodwill in two weeks.
Due to illness there will be no Head Start bus or transportation today, Thursday - January 4th. This will only effect the Head Start Bus, if you student rides the FPS at the end of the day that transportation will be still available. If your student rides the Head Start Bus they will need to be picked up. Please contact the Office at 308-425-6283 if you have any questions.

Basketball Schedule change. Due to illness and injuries the JV girls will now play 3 quarters against Alma and the new start time is 4:30 pm.
Flyer Branch of Cornerstone will be open in the morning!
School will be dismissed at 2:00 on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
Mike Donahue, the founder and director of Value Up, a motivational company focusing on positive school culture, will present to our students, staff, and parents. Students will be dismissed at 2:00 on this day to accommodate the staff training. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend a presentation from 4:00-5:00 on this day in the media center at the school.
On Jan. 6, 2024 Flyer Wrestling will be hosting the 50th Franklin Wrestling Tournament. There will be a brief recognition of all wrestlers from past tournaments right before the finals and following the tournament a reunion at Blackpowder. This gathering is open to anyone with an interest in wrestling. Come to Blackpowder and reconnect with past friends.
